IRS Announces 2018 Contribution Limits

The Internal Revenue Service has announced the 2018 HSA contribution limits.

2018 HSA Contribution Limits

Single: $3,450 (up from $3,400 in 2017)

Family: $6,850* (up from $6,750 in 2017)

Catch-up Contribution: $1,000

HSA owners age 55 and older are also eligible for a $1,000 catch-up contribution. Contribution limits are effective for calendar year 2018.

*This has been updated to reflect the Family coverage contribution limit change from $6,900 to $6,850 made by the IRS in March 2018.
